Where can I find out more about the history of my neighborhood?

The Historic Eastside is Longmont’s first neighborhood, settled originally as the “Chicago-Colorado Colony” in 1871.

A section of our neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, having many outstanding homes built in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
